Happy Birthday, Tyler

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday! He is now 24 years old and not very excited about it. He gets depressed when I remind him he is getting older. I still remember the exact moment I layed eyes on him. I remember thinking, "Ugh, he thinks he is so cool. I can't stand people like that!" Well, what do you know my thoughts changed, completely. And I could not be more happy they did!
Happy Birthday, my love! I am so glad God saw fit to bring you into this world 24 years ago!

First Wedding Anniversary = Disney Vacation

We had a BLAST at Disney World!!! I hated to come back, of course. We have so many memories and over 1,000 pictures. I can't wait to go back!
March 14, 2010, we celebrated our first anniversary in style with breakfast with Minnie, Goofy, Donald at Cape May Cafe. Tyler had them sing "Happy Anniversary" to us, as well as a card from the characters, and a cupcake. Yes, we had a cupcake with breakfast. Hey it was our anniversary. They only come around once a year! After that we enjoyed the morning at Epcot and the evening at Magic Kingdom. There is nothing more romantic than the fireworks over Cinderella's castle on your anniversary! Oh, we wore ADORABLE "Happy Anniversary" pins all week! People in parades would stop dancing and tell us "Happy Anniversary!" Disney World truly is the most magical place on earth! We had our anniversary dinner at Emeril's (not the best food we had while in Orlando).

The next morning, we had planned on taking the bus from our room to Magic Kingdom. Well, we ran out, jumped on the bus, but our watch was apparently not on the same schedule as the drivers, and so instead of Magic Kingdom, we went straight to Animal Kingdom. Oh well, we had a blast there especially since we are animal lovers. I loved the safari ride and Everest was the BOMB! We were thankfully back to the bus stop 15 minutes early that evening. The bus left 5 minutes before the itinerary stated and that was the only bus out that day! I would have been ticked off if had we been stranded with a $30 taxi. That ended our bus rides. We decided to pay for parking. Especially since you can come and go as you wish.

We tackled MGM, as it will always be known as to Tyler and myself. The Tower of Terror scared me to death! I actually screamed, "I WILL NEVER GET ON ANOTHER ELEVATOR AGAIN!" I hated it and NO I did not ride it again although, I would! We were not able to do the American Idol set there. There simply were not enough hours in the day! Oh my goodness, the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster was AMAZING!

The rest of the week we flipped between Epcot and Magic Kingdom our favorite parks and GREAT restaurants we loved our dinner at Fulton's Crab House. Our waiter, Tommy, was very kind and found out we were celebrating our anniversary week with them and brought us this fabulous dessert! YUMMY!

I, of course, spent most of the day Friday depressed because it was our last day. I generally do not enjoy my last day of vacation because I know reality is just around the corner. Although, Disney made me forget about reality even our last day at the parks. We stayed at Magic Kingdom until after 1 Friday night. I cannot describe how terrible I felt getting up the next morning to drive back to Mississippi.

We truly had a wonderful trip and a VERY magical anniversary. I cannot wait to return. Tyler is adamant about a cruise next year, but I want to go back to Disney World. Maybe we can compromise on a Disney Cruise ;) I am very thankful for a husband that loves to travel as much as myself.
